Both are dead now… don’t waste your money! Before I had a patton, It lived for 8 years!!!!! no problems, it was worth the investment. I use a fan everynight, I’m a light sleeper so any noise will keep me up all night, the soothing sound and cool air help. I love it, so if your like me get a PATTON!

I bought this Honeywell item because I previously purchased honeywell window fans and they work very well. This product is powerful but has limited effectiveness in the area that it cools, probably due to small blades. My major complaint, and the reason that I only gave it three stars is the switch. It is not user friendly and not intuitive.

5 stars from us. This is a smaller, box style fan. Great base, will not tip over like other box style fans. Easily moves air. Can be a little loud on the higher settings. Overall very pleased with this purchase. Downside, more expensive. Pros, excellent fan that doesn’t tip over

My husband has sleep apnea and has to sleep with a CPAP machine. We were sleeping in separate bedrooms because the noise of the machine and his breathing was driving me insane. I use the fan on low and it’s loud enough to mask his noise. I love the fan and can sleep again! It’s big though- thought it was smaller, but it’s huge. It will be nice in the summer to circulate air- it has tons of power. Worth the money.

Blows lots of air & is quiet considering the high air flow. Looks great, easy to carry despite being a little larger than expected (not a bad thing). Perfect size for larger rooms. We use it to help circulate warm air from a woodstove in the living room.

As others have reported, the switch is awkward since it must be pushed in to turn (child safety feature?). When you push the switch down, the fan tilts back making switch operation a little frustrating, especially with one hand. It’s OK if you use both hands – one on top to stop the fan from tilting, & the other to operate the switch. Not a big deal, just a little annoying.

It does not appear to be easy (impossible?) to disassemble for cleaning. It moves a lot of air & anything within 10 feet or so will eventually find it’s way into the cage. Seems easy enough to clean from the outside so far, but it would be nice to at least have the option to disassemble for more thorough cleaning.

The one we received does seem a little out of balance. It’s probably right on the edge of what is considered out-of-spec. It doesn’t cause any problems but may result in premature wear of the motor bushings or bearings.
