Well it is quiet simple, a lot of armature radio operaters on dx trips and campers need to eat when there braving the out doors and there is nothing better to serve at the camp on a cold night is a hot meatloaf served with potatoes, carrots and corn. The Recipes For Meatloaf below would be just the thing to serve at your camp site or on any day for lunch or dinner. BBQ Meatloaf.
1 kg Hamburger Mince
1 Table Spoon Parsley
1 Cup soft bread crumbs
1 Large onion sliced
1/2 desert spoon curry powder
1 beaten egg
1/2 Cup of water
1/2 cup of milk
Add ingredients to a bowl and mix altogether, once mixed shape and mold the mixture in to a loaf shape. place loaf in to a greased baking pan cook in a moderate oven ( or camp oven ) for 30 minutes then add sauce.
Sauce Mix
1/2 Cup brown sugar
1/3 cup tomato sauce
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 Table spoon of vinegar
1 table spoon lemon juice
Mix ingredients and simmer in a saucepan for 5 min then pour over the loaf, baste regularly with sauce for the next 30 min. serve with Potatoes hole carrots corn etc.
