Ham radios have been popular among hobbyists for decades. However, it would not be accurate to day all those that purchase such radios do so solely for hobbyist pursuits. Such radios provide reliable information on emergency services which can prove enormously helpful in difficult situations. And regardless of whether or not you have purchased the radio for professional or personal pursuits, you will need a high quality radio that delivers on expectations. This is where the Yaesu ham radio (Yaesu FTM-350R dual band mobile transceiver) can prove to be an excellent device to purchase. This is a ham radio that is packed with features that make it an absolute top purchase.

Among the most striking features of the Yaesu ham radio would be its ability to operate its dual band mobile transceiver on 2m and 70cm. This is performed with 50 full watts for added beneficial power. Of course, such power would be of limited use if there was no ease of use or operation. Thankfully, ease of use is not a problem with the Yaesu ham radio. The controls for the system are fairly easy to operate and a clear display menu adds to the ease of use. No one likes to “stumble and fumble” when they are using a ham radio. The Yaesu FTM-350R eliminates these operational stumbling blocks.

While these basic functions are a huge plus they are not the complete totality of the features present with the system. There are scores of other popular features with the Yaesu ham radio. Some may find these additional features to be truly surprising. However, those that are familiar with the quality that Yaesu is known to deliver will not be taken very aback.

For the curious, here are some of the top features the Yaesu ham radio offers:

GPS capabilities are included with the system. This includes both internal and external GPS systems. Those that are active and adventurous will surely find the inclusion of a GPS system to be exceedingly helpful.

Similarly, those that wish to “stay in the loop” and maintain effective communications will find the back that this system is compatible with Bluetooth systems to be a huge plus. Not all ham radios have this capability which is why so many will rave about its inclusion on this system.

The rear panel maintains a line input jack that is easy to use and clearly delineated. Those that need to plug in attachments will find the process to be rather user-friendly which would always be a reliable plus with electronics devices.

In addition, the quality of the display truly does bear repeating. The menu is quite readable thanks to the dot matrix, eight color display presented on the screen. As such, it is doubtful anyone will have operational problems with this device.

All in all, the Yaesu ham radio comes with a great variety of functions, features, and benefits that make it an excellent purchase. Those looking to acquire a solid and reliable ham radio are well advised to look closer at this particular model since it truly stands above its pack of competitors. dual band mobile transceiver) can prove to be an excellent device to purchase.
